AMMUNITION
Ammunition performance is primarily influenced by two factors related to ballistics and the characteristics of the ammunition. There are three types of ballistics, which include internal, external, and terminal. The study of internal ballistics encompasses the events that occur within the firearm, from the chamber to the time the projectile exits the barrel. External ballistics describes the flight and behavior of the projectile as it travels towards a target. Finally, terminal ballistics concerns the interaction of the projectile with its target upon impact.
